The Houston Astros were unable to break through a 4-4 tie in their 5-4 loss to the New York Yankees on Wednesday.

The Astros were down 4-0 after three innings. Then in the top of the fourth, the 'Stros plated 4 runs as Jose Altuve, Jason Castro, Carlos Pena and Chris Carter scored.

Astros starter Erik Bedard (pictured, right) only pitched 4 innings as he gave up two home runs in his start. Paul Clemens took the loss for Houston as the game-winning run for the Yankees was scored on an Ichiro double-play in the 6th inning.

The Astros return home to start a four-game series against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday.
