The Houston Astros have now lost their last five games as the Oakland A's completed a series sweep on Wednesday. The A's knocked Astros started Bud Norris out of the game in the first inning in their 7-5 win.

The A's scored six of their runs in the first inning. A Chris Young single got the scoring started as John Jaso scored. Young then scored on a Josh Reddick double.  The rally didn't stop until the A's scored six runs when Norris was lifted from the game.

The Astros mounted a rally in the seventh inning, scoring three runs. One of the runs came on a Carlos Pena home run.

Bartolo Colon earned his second win of the season for Oakland, while Norris' record dropped to 2-2.

The A's now have the best record in the American League at 12-4. Meanwhile, the Astros are in last place in the AL West with a 4-11 record.
