The Houston Texans Mario Williams will miss the remainder of the 2011 season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Oakland Raiders.

Williams had just recorded his fifth sack of the season, during a 1st quarter take down of Oakland Quarterback Jason Campbell for a one-yard loss, but just one play later he was running off the field at Reliant Stadium with the injury.

Rookie second-round pick Brooks Reed will step into Williams starting role.

It’s the second week in the row that the Texans lost a key, possibly irreplaceable, player as Pro-Bowl wide-out Andre Johnson went down against the Steelers with a hamstring injury.
