Houston Texans running back Arian Foster returned to practice Wednesday after missing the season opener due to a hamstring injury. Foster suffered the strained hamstring during the Texans third preseason game.

If Foster is able to go on Sunday for the Texans first road test of the season against Miami, head coach Gary Kubiak said he wouldn’t expect there to be any limitations on his playing time.

“Arian took a normal Wednesday load for a starter,” coach Gary Kubiak said. “Everything was positive today, so we’ll see.”

Derrick ward started the Texans 34-7 victory over Indianapolis, but didn’t practice because of a sprained ankle. Receiver Kevin Walter also didn’t practice as he’s dealing with a bruised collar bone. Jacoby Jones was elevated into a starting role opposite Andre Johnson.
