Houston Texans star receiver Andre Johnson has officially been ruled out for his 4th straight game as he attempts to recover from a hamstring injury.

Johnson returned to practice earlier this week and the Texans were hopeful he would be able to go against Jacksonville, but Johnson decided he wasn’t quite there yet and needed another week.

“I don't feel like I'm ready to play," he said. "I'm not at full speed yet. I said I wouldn't put myself out there until I'm able to run full speed."

He was injured back on Oct. 2 against the Steelers and had a minor procedure to repair the right hamstring injury early that next week.

Head coach Gary Kubiak said he kept Johnson out against the Jaguars to give him a head start on returning in next week’s home game against the Cleveland Browns.

Fullback James Casey has been cleared to play and will be a go against Jacksonville.
