Ichiro Suzuki hit a walk-off home run to push the New York Yankees past the Texas Rangers 4-3 last night in the Bronx.

Leyonis Martin homered twice for the Rangers in the loss, which snapped a five-game winning streak.

Hitters 1-4 for the Rangers were inept last night as they went a combined 2 of 14. Elvis Andrus collected both of those hits for Texas in his No. 2 spot in the order.

Game two of the three game series is tonight at 6:05 with coverage on Fox Sports Southwest. Justin Grimm starts tonight on the hill for Texas. Grimm has a 6-5 record this season with 5.57 ERA. Andy Pettitte starts tonight for New York.
