Have you ever wondered what would happen if a nuclear bomb hit Lubbock, Dallas or anywhere else in Texas? Thanks to Nukemap, you can find out.

Today (August 6) is the 70th anniversary of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima, Japan. This map will give you an idea of the destruction a nuclear bomb can do. Hopefully, nobody else ever has to find out how powerful these weapons can be.

In the interactive map, you can literally pick the type of bomb ranging from the smallest, called a Davey Crockett, to the largest, the Russian 100 MT Tsar Bomba.

Another interesting feature is the fallout. The bombs themselves are dangerous, but the fallout covers much more of an area that would be devastated.

It's not something I like to think about, but it's interesting to see what could happen if any crazy dictator or terrorist decided to push the button.
