The resignation of Kristy Curry from the Texas Tech Lady Raider Basketball program on Saturday gave Red Raider fans a fourth coaching change this past year in a major sport.

Curry went 130-98 in seven seasons in Lubbock going to a pair of NCAA Tournaments and three WNIT's. Curry had a Big 12 record of 46-70.

The search for a new head coach in any program will ask this existential sports question: Is Lady Raider Basketball a top job in the Big 12 Conference?

Names mentioned to replace Curry have included Gary Blair, who told Tommy Magelssen he would retire at A&M, the Louisville women's coach Jeff Walz, and even a return of Marsha Sharp.
