It was all Janine Beckie for Texas Tech Soccer in their 4-1 win at Denver University on Saturday.

Beckie got the scoring started for the Red Raiders with two goals in the final four minutes of the first half. Beckie's first goal came at the 41' mark and then she scored again at 43' after a long ball on the right side of the field.

After halftime, Texas Tech had a 2-0 lead, but Denver cut it in half about 10 minutes into the second half.

The 2-1 score stayed for about the next 30 minutes before Beckie scored her hat trick goal at 87'. About 90 seconds later, Brooke Denesik added an extra goal for Texas Tech to pad the lead to 4-1 in their exhibition win.

Texas Tech outshot Denver University 18-5 and also had more corner kick opportunities, 5-1.

Texas Tech starts the regular season next Friday, August 21 against USC in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
