Justus Parker started playing his collegiate career at the D3 level. He wanted bigger and better things, so he transferred to Texas Tech and walked on. He made ginormous plays all season, with the highlights being his touchdown against Kansas and his game-saving interception against the University of Texas.

Parker continually showed the moment wasn't bigger than he was by making big play after big play. He made so many big plays that he was named to the 2nd-team All-Big 12 team. Parker earned that honor by leading the league in forced fumbles and being tied for second in interceptions.

All this hard work and determination has led to Kliff Kingsbury offering Parker something very special using some of his connections with the defending Super Bowl Champions, the New England Patriots.

I'm not crying, you are!

These moments that let you peek behind the curtain at the camaraderie and friendship that makes up the Texas Tech roster are pretty incredible. It's a special team bond that celebrates this way with a teammate being rewarded for his hard work and dedication.

Congratulations to Justus Parker, and here's to another year of turnovers and huge plays with Texas Tech football.
