Keenan Evans Is a Finalist for the Naismith Award
Keenan Evans is having the best season of his career here at Texas Tech and is arguably one of the best players in the country. Keenan is now one of 10 players to be listed as a semifinalist for the Citizen Naismith Trophy announced Wednesday morning by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
Evans is averaging 17.2 points, 3.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game this season. The 17.2 points per game are third in the Big 12. Texas Tech has won nine of 10 games this season and 15 of 19 games overall when Evans goes for 20 or more points. With this current toe injury, having a healthy Keenan Evans is more important than ever for the Red Raiders.
The list of 10 semifinalists for the Naismith Trophy will be trimmed down to a group of four finalists which will be released in mid-March.
