Kerry Hyder and La’Raven Clark Named to Pre-Season Award Watch List
Two Texas Tech Football players have been placed on pre-season award watch lists for the 2013 season.
Senior Defensive Lineman Kerry Hyder has been named to the Nagurski and Outland Trophy Watch List for the upcoming 2013 season. Sophomore Offensive La’Raven Clark was also named to the Outland Watch List.
Hyder compiled 56 total tackles in the 2012 season with 14 of those tackles for loss while being named to the Big 12 First Team Defense by several publications.
Clark is a returning starter for the Red Raider Offense where he was a Freshman All-American and started all 13 games for Texas Tech in 2012.
The Outland Trophy winner is chosen from three finalists who are part of the FWAA All-America Team.
The Bronko Nagurski Trophy winner will be chosen from those five finalists who are part of the 2013 FWAA All-America Team.
Texas Tech starts the season Friday, August 30th at SMU in Dallas.
