Kevin Wagner Out for the Season with Knee Injury

Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball announced late Wednesday afternoon the injury of a local student-athlete. Freshman guard and former Lubbock Estacado standout Kevin Wagner will be out for the remainder of the season. Wagner suffered the season-ending injury in Texas Tech's loss to Texas last Saturday night in Austin.

Wagner has played in 18 games this season with six starts averaging 2.5 points a game with 1.5 assists for the 7-16 Red Raiders who have struggled mightily on the offensive end of the court and have had one of the youngest teams in the conference with seven freshman getting significant time.

Wagner helped lead his high school, Estacado, to a 3A State Championship in 2010 and 34-2 record and to Regional finals appearance in 2011.
