It's Day 3 of the search for a new head coach for Texas Tech Football. Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt has started interviewing candidates and traveling across the country to find his man.

Earlier this afternoon Hocutt flew to Clemson, South Carolina to interview Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris (pictured).

Greg Wallace with the Anderson Independent-Mail was at the airport when Hocutt arrived. Hocutt told Wallace that he'd like to finish the search for a new head football coach as soon as possible.

Morris' previous coaching experience includes time at Tulsa and as head coach of Lake Travis High School where he coached current Texas Tech quarterback Michael Brewer.

Texas A&M offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury is also high on the list to replace Tommy Tuberville. So far, no word on if Hocutt has talked to Kingsbury this week.

Tommy Tuberville resigned from Texas Tech on December 8 after three seasons with the Red Raiders. He's now the head coach at Cincinnati.
