The Texas Tech Lady Raiders came back from a 15 point 2nd-half deficit to beat Kansas 61-57 in Lawrence on Saturday night.

It was an impressive night of battling for the Lady Raiders as they were down by 15 with 16 minutes left to go in the game and behind the Lady Jayhawks for most of the game.

The Lady Raiders dominated most of the scoring stat categories with 42 points in the paint, 18 points off turnovers and 16 points from the bench.

Coach Kristy Curry's Lady Raiders find themselves in the upper half of the Big 12 standings after the first weekend of conference play with an overall record of 14-1 (1-0) at the halfway point of the season.

This season is by far the best start a Kristy Curry team has had during her tenure at Texas Tech.  The Lady Raiders however will face a tough test of road games later this month with consecutive matchups against #19 Oklahoma and #1 Baylor.  If the Lady Raiders can split those games, I think they will be in a good position to earn a bye for the conference tournament.
