The early portion of the Big 12 Conference schedule has proven to be tough for Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball. Wednesday night, the Kansas State Wildcats beat the Red Raiders 58-51 in Manhattan. The loss extended the Red Raiders losing streak to four games.

Marcus Foster led the Wildcats with 14 points and and five rebounds in the win.

After being down 28-20 at halftime, Texas Tech pulled within three points of K-State, 49-46, with about three minutes left in the game.  However, ill-timed Texas Tech fouls and a turnover allowed the Wildcats to pull away from the Red Raiders over the next two minutes of game time.

The Red Raiders leading scorer was Robert Turner with 16 points. Turner came off the bench and played 29 minutes.

Texas Tech's next game is Saturday against TCU at 3pm at the United Supermarkets Arena.

GAME NOTES: Texas Tech went 8 for 8 from the foul line & the bench scored 39 points in the game.
