LCU Men's Basketball came up short in their comeback bid against Texas Wesleyan with a 73-71 loss in Fort Worth.

Ronnie Moss was a one-man wrecking crew for Texas Wesleyan. He scored a game-high 40 points in 38 minutes of action.  Moss was 11/20 from the field, 6/8 for 3-pointers, 12/13 free throws with 6 rebounds.

Texas Wesleyan had a 39-33 lead at halftime, with their largest lead in the first half at 7 points coming with 5:28 left to go in the half.

Texas Wesleyan held on to their first half lead for the rest of the game as LCU cut the lead down to 1 point at two separate points in the second half.  The final time Wesleyan's lead was cut down to 1 point was the 12:24 mark of the second half.  LCU's Douglas Williams drained a 3-pointer to make the score 49-48.

Texas Wesleyan jumped out to their largest lead of 9 points four separate time in the final four minutes of the game.  Ronnie Moss made 5 free throws in the last four minutes to help Wesleyan keep their lead.

The Chaps high scorer was Rashard Sample with 22 points.  Other LCU players scoring in double digits were Douglas Williams with 11 points and Anthony Brancato with 10 points.
