Lubbock Christian University Men’s and Women’s soccer teams have announced their schedules for the Chaparrals 2012 season.

The season kicks off Aug. 27, with the Chaparrals hosting University of the Southwest (N.M.) with the women taking the field at 1 p.m. and the men at 3 p.m.

The Lady Chaps have 18 regular season games scheduled, with eight of the games scheduled for play at home.  Eight games are scheduled for Sooner Athletic Conference play, with September 29th serving as the SAC opener at Wayland Baptist University.

The season marks the LCU coaching debut of Alex Denning, who takes over the third-year program that went 5-10-2 overall last season en route to an eighth place finish in the SAC for a second consecutive season.

The Chaps have 16 regular season games scheduled, with seven of the games scheduled for play at home.  Eight games are scheduled for Sooner Athletic Conference play, with Oct. 4 serving as the SAC opener at St. Gregory's University.

Lubbock Christian went 14-4-3 last season and went 6-2-2 in conference play.  They finished second in the regular season and were the SAC Tournament Finalists.
