LCU Volleyball Player Recovering in Dallas ICU

According to Lubbock Christian University’s Facebook page, volleyball player Malori Maddox has been transferred to a Dallas hospital where she is being treated in intensive care.

Maddox left the court during a volleyball game on Tuesday with a severe headache, and wound up having emergency surgery that night for brain bleeding.

LCU’s Facebook post indicated that surgery was a success and that she is in recovery in a Dallas ICU.

An on-campus prayer service was held Wednesday night at LCU. Students in attendance at the service offered up their prayers and signed a card with their well wishes.
