CycleBar, a new boutique fitness center in Lubbock, has only been open a couple months, but they're already giving back to their community.

On Friday, August 26 at noon, CycleBar will host a 50-minute class with 100 percent of the proceeds to benefit the North Texas chapter of the Red Cross, which is currently accommodating over 4,000 Louisiana flood victims.

The cost is $25 per person, which includes water and fresh fruit. CycleBar classes are held in their unique fitness "theaters," which have state-of-the-art lighting, sound and screens.

According to a press release, owner Michelle Elder commented on her decision to host this event:

We have been so humbled by the record-setting successful opening of the new studio. We simply couldn’t wait to start giving back! When we witnessed the heartache of thousands of flood victims, we were inspired to offer our community a true win/win opportunity to get in shape while doing the right thing for our displaced neighbors.

CycleBar is located at 7604 Milwaukee Avenue. Participants are encouraged to RSVP on CycleBar's website.
