Lubbock Christian Loses to Lee University in NAIA College World Series
Lubbock Christian University lost for the first time in the NAIA College World Series to Lee University 1-0.
Luca Whitmore threw a complete game for the Chaps but he gave up 1 run on 9 hits. However, it didn’t compare Shay Crawford of Lee who also pitched a complete game and pitched a 1 hitter, the first in 25 years in the NAIA World Series.
The only run in the game was scored in the 2nd inning. A Travis Anderson ground out scored Justin Marreno who got into scoring position on a sacrifice bunt.
Although the Chaps led the NAIA Tournament in hitting they only recorded one hit and left 7 on base during the game.
LCU and Lee will play again tonight at 9 o’clock and can be heard here on 1340 the fan.
The winner of the game will face Concordia California in the NAIA College World Series Championship.
