No. 9 Lubbock Christian University blew out Mid America Christian yesterday 18-5 in Day 1 of pool play in the Sooner Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament Wednesday.

Ryan Burnaman became the first player in Lubbock Christian University program history to have a pair of triples in a game and Ryan Meade went 2 for 5 for the Chaps at the plate. Mike Marshall claimed the win on the mound for LCU throwing a complete game with 9 strikeouts and improving to 7-0 on the season.

The Chaps improve to 42-11 with the win, while MACU falls to 18-30.  In the new SAC Tournament format, LCU will need to win their pool to advance to the tournament championship game.  LCU is 1-0 in their pool, joining Oklahoma Baptist, who defeated Wayland Baptist 6-1 Wednesday in Plainview, Texas.  LCU and OBU will face each other Thursday night at 6 p.m. from Hays Field.
