Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps Win First-Round Game at NAIA National Tournament

The LCU Lady Chaps comfortably beat Southern University at New Orleans 78-57 at the First Round of the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball National Championship in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Nicole Hampton recorded the recorded triple-double in Lady Chaps program history. She pulled down 15 rebounds, scored 11 points and dished out 11 assists.
Also, scoring in double digits for LCU were Kelsey Hoppel with 18 points and Courtney Wilson contributed 17 points. Kelsey Canavan produced her third consecutive double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The LCU Lady Chaps next game is against either Georgetown (Ky.) or Lyon College at 7p, CDT, Friday night.
