Lubbock Christian University Softball (50-9) was selected by the NAIA Softball selection committee to complete their 32-team field for the National Tournament to be held in Gulf Shores, AL May 19-25.

LCU is making its fourth consecutive appearance in the tournament in the programs fourth year of existence. LCU enters the tournament as an at-large selection after not winning the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament last weekend in Oklahoma City.

The Lady Chaps are led by SAC Freshman of the Year Meagan Navarrette. Navarrette, a freshman pitcher from Lubbock, Texas, was 17-0 on the season with a 1.96 earned run average.

At the plate LCU is led by Kim Frazier with 19 home runs and 65 RBI and a .432 batting average along with Kayla Van Dieren who is hitting .459 and has driven in 61 RBI.
