A proposal to provide Lubbock-Cooper ISD with $208.2 million will pass after May 7 voting results.

As of early voting Saturday night, Lubbock voters were 64.88 percent in favor of the proposition, with 35.12 percent against it.

The $208.2 million bond will go toward myriad improvements throughout the Lubbock-Cooper Independent School District, including renovating facilities, improving traffic on campuses and purchasing new technology for South Elementary and Lubbock-Cooper Middle School.

Lubbock-Cooper ISD was recently named the third fastest-growing school district in the state of Texas.

"This is a great problem to have – families want to move into our district, they want their children to receive a Lubbock-Cooper education because they believe in our vision and they trust us to exceed expectations," said Lubbock-Cooper ISD Superintendent Keith Bryant.

Bryant stressed that that growth means "adding and revamping" facilities as necessary to ensure the district can keep up with growing number of students.

Full election results can be seen below and will be updated with final numbers as soon as they're available.
