Lubbock ISD to Host United Kick-off Classic
This week, Lubbock ISD is hosting the United Kick-off Classic Invitational Soccer Tournament. The tournament is the first soccer tournament hosted by Lubbock ISD. It will feature a total of 20 teams from across the state.
Boys teams participating in the tournament are: Monterey, Lubbock High, Coronado, Dumas, Tascosa, Caprock, Palo Duro and Parkland. Girls teams are: Monterey, Lubbock High, Coronado, El Paso Coronado, El Paso Americas, Midland Lee, Odessa Permian, Odessa, Tascosa, San Angelo Lakeview, Parkland and Sam Houston (Houston ISD).
Matches during the three-day tournament will be hosted at Monterey, Coronado and Lubbock high schools and Texas Tech University. Matches start Thursday, January 17 at 8a at Monterey, Coronado and Lubbock high schools. The tournament continues Friday at the three campus sites and concludes Saturday at the John Walker Soccer Complex at Texas Tech University.
