Lubbock Lake Landmark is hosting another night hike through Yellowhouse Draw, which is always peaceful and lovely, but even more magical in the evening.

Night hikes begin around 8 p.m. with a guide. When I went last month, we had both a history-focused guide and a guide that was an expert on the diverse plant life in the draw.

The hikes are timed to begin 30 minutes before the sun sets so you can enjoy the entire West Texas sunset.

Even though I personally consider this a beginner's level hike, you should wear proper shoes like boots and bring a bottle of water (or two). Bug spray was provided last time, but it's probably a good idea to bring some if you've got it.

Hikes are weather permitting, and there is a chance of rain on Saturday.
