Lubbock Movie Theaters Offer Free Movies, Cheap Concessions for Community Day

Cinemark Theatres in Lubbock, Texas will be hosting a special community day, featuring free family-friendly movies and reduced prices on concessions.

Free family movies will be playing at all Cinemark locations from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016.

Movies for the event will be provided by DreamWorks Animation and will include: "Kung Fu Panda 3," "Home," "How to Train Your Dragon 2," "Madagascar 3" and "Shrek."

Concessions will also be greatly discounted at the special event (while supplies last).

Showtimes will be available to view online at cinemark.com starting August 15. Tickets for the select movies will be available at the box office only. Community Day showtime tickets will be available at the box office starting at 8:30 a.m. on August 20th.

Net proceeds will support WE.org in providing youth empowerment and service learning programs across the nation.
