This Saturday (Nov. 12) from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Lubbock's Science Spectrum will host their Taste of Science event.

Come hungry for science! Explore the science behind the food we eat! Join the Science Spectrum, South Plains Food Bank, and Texas Tech Department of Food Science & Nutrition, for FREE hands-on food science activities. Enjoy samples from some of your favorite local businesses and live cooking and food science demonstrations! This event is FREE to the public and located in the Lobby and Exhibit Hall.

Mmmm...fresh butter sounds amazing. And since a stunning less than 3 percent of Americans live a healthy lifestyle, teaching our kids (and ourselves) some good science about healthful eating may be the best way we could spend a Saturday.
