Lubbock Takes on New Orleans for Toughest Weather City on the Weather Channel

Brackets aren't just for March Madness.

Lubbock is in the Sweet 16 for the Weather Channel's "Toughest Weather City" with online votes today.

Lubbock is a bit of a Cinderella story in the bracket as they have advanced to the South region of the tournament by taking out the metropolis of San Antonio, TX 53 to 47% in the First Round. Lubbock took down Outer Banks, NC 57 to 43% in the Second Round.

Lubbock now is against the Big Easy in New Orleans, LA. Lubbock has an uphill battle taking on the humidity and hurricane magnet on the Mississippi.

If Lubbock wins the vote, they will take on the winner of Dallas and Brownsville to be win the South Regional bracket.
