A man accused of leading Lubbock Police on a chase in July accepted a plea deal on Friday (Oct. 19).

36 year-old Anthony Gonzalez admitted in federal court that he possessed more than 500 grams of methamphetamine during the chase. On July 18, police attempted to pull over Gonzalez after a suspected drug deal and also for a broke brake light, and Gonzalez fled the scene. Gonzalez crashed in the 2400 block of 47th Street and he was arrested at the scene.

During the chase, two juvenile's fled the vehicle.

Gonzalez will be sentenced at a later date up to life in prison.
