Manchester United defeated crosstown rival Manchester City 3-2 in the Community Shield on Sunday afternoon, rallying behind Nani's two goals in the traditional opener to the English soccer season in Wembley, England.

Nani completed the defending Premier League champion's comeback by scoring the winner in injury time after he stripped the ball from City captain Vincent Kompany at midfield which led to the game winner.

United scored three unanswered goals after trail 2-0 going into halftime of the game. Chris Smalling opened up the comeback  by tapping in a free kick in the 52nd minute followed by Nani's pair of goals in the 58th and 90th minutes.

Manchester United will open the 2011-2012 Premier League play on the road at Westbromwich Albion Sunday, August 14th while Manchester City will host Swansea City on Monday, August 15th.
