The outcome of the game was all but decided by halftime, as Detroit (4-7) took a 24-7 lead into intermission thanks to Stafford’s first three TD passes. The rout continued in the third quarter when Stafford connected with Johnson for the duo's second and third touchdowns of the game.

Philadelphia (4-7) lost its third straight contest, and gave up 45 points for the second game in a row. The team also lost starting cornerback Nolan Carroll to a broken ankle early in the game.
