The first two games in the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Baylor Bears series were essentially determined by who scored first. The rubber game of the series however was a different story all together.

With a two run deficit in the seventh inning, Logan Hall belted a two out single, setting up Mikey Kenney to save the game for the Red Raiders. Kenney did just that, pushing the Red Raiders to a 6-5 win, as well as a series victory over the Baylor Bears. Baylor let the Red Raiders back into the game giving up back to back errors in the seventh. The Bears also couldn't close out the Red Raiders with two outs in the final inning, leading to the Tech victory.

The walk off victory was the second for Texas Tech this season, and improved their record to 37-13 on the season and to 10-8 in Big 12 play.
