Texas Tech Baseball came back from 5-0 deficit to defeat Dallas Baptist 7-6 Tuesday at Patriot Field. Tech scored 7 runs in the last three innings to secure the comeback and is now 15-7 on the season heading into their home series against Nebraska starting Friday. Dallas Baptist fell to 13-8.

Tech’s Friday night starting pitcher Daniel Coulmbe will miss the remainder of the season due to torn UCL in left elbow.

Texas Tech is set to introduce new men’s basketball coach Billy Gillispie at a 10 a.m. public press conference from the United Spirit Arena. Gillispie was hired Sunday by Tech and has a 140-85 record in seven seasons as head coach. Sportsradio 1340 The Fan will have complete coverage of the press conference starting at 10 a.m.

The Texas Tech men’s golf team wrapped a successful week at the Calloway Match Play Championships with a fourth place finish Tuesday after falling to No. 11 seed USC, 4-1, at the Hawks Ridge Golf Club in Ball Ground, Ga.

Texas Tech Spring Football postponed practice Tuesday due to high winds and dust. They will practice today at 4 p.m. and tomorrow at 4 p.m. The Texas Tech Football Spring game will Saturday at 1 p.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium.

No. 5 LCU Baseball defeated Sul Ross State Tuesday night 15-9.

No. 5 LCU Softball rebounded from a 6-0 loss in the first game of a doubleheader against No.10 Oklahoma City University with a 4-2 win to split the Sooner Athletic Conference series on the road Tuesday evening. LCU has a doubleheader today against Oklahoma Baptist starting at 3 p.m.

The San Antonio Spurs aren’t sure how long they’ll be without All-Star Tim Duncan. The forward passed his MRI yesterday, but the team says they’re waiting for the swelling to go down before a timetable is set. Duncan injured his ankle Monday against Golden State.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant allegedly launched into a profanity-laced tirade after being asked to pull up his sagging pants. Police say officers working security Saturday and NorthPark Center asked Bryant and his friends to fix their pants, before ejecting Bryant from the mall for his rant. No charges were filed.
