NASCAR Sprint Cup 2011 Rookie of the Year, Andy Lally, has announced he has left TRG Motorsports #71 and will not race full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup in 2012.

Lally during the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup season finished 33rd in the standings with 398 points.  The closest rookie to him in the standings was Brian Keselowski who finished 50th.

Lally didn't race in the final Sprint Cup race of the season in Homestead due to his leaving TRG Motorsports mid-week, last week. Lally talked about last week, "TRG and myself had an agreement and that agreement wasn't all the way kept up to. I had to stand my ground on principal and pull out of Homestead."

Lally said his time with TRG was good for his career, "There are good people with TRG Motorsports. It was a good career move when I went there, so I'm thankful of the opportunities and friendships I made at TRG Motorsports."

During the Williams & Hyatt Show today on SportsRadio 1340 The Fan, Lally exclusively announced his 2012 racing plans.

Lally will race full-time in the Rolex Grand Am Series with Magnus Racing in the #44 Porsche. Lally will partner with car owner John Potter in the #44 at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

He will also race a partial schedule in the American Le Mans series for Magnus Racing next season.

Lally also stated that he is willing to race a partial schedule in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series in 2012.

Lally started racing competitively in 1996 and he has recent experience NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and Grand American Rolex Series.

He also was the 2006, 2004 and 2001 Rolex Grand Am Champion.
