Talk about being a die-hard fan.

A man named Patrick Killebrew died on June 20 at his home and his obituary made sure to point the finger for his passing to one singular cause: the Washington Nationals' bullpen. Per the obituary, which ran in the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

KILLEBREW, Patrick, 'Pat,' age 68, passed away peacefully at home, June 20, 2017, after watching the Washington Nationals relief pitchers blow yet another lead.... In lieu of flowers, send "donations" to the "Nationals Bullpen Fund."

Killebrew knows of what he speaks, too. The night before he died, the Nats let a 6-0 lead slip away, en route to falling to the Marlins, 8-7. The Nationals may be running away with the National League East, but the bullpen has been the squad's Achilles heel that may need to be addressed come October: Koda Glover leads the team with eight saves, but has an ERA over 5, while the entire relief corps is sporting an ERA just under 5, second-worst in the majors.

Something tells us that Killebrew will be watching the playoffs, preparing to roll over in his grave in disgust.
