Super Bowl XLIX lived up to all of the hype: from Katy Perry's halftime performance to a game that came down to the final minute.

The New England Patriots squeaked out a 28-24 over the Seattle Seahawks with a goal line interception by Malcolm Brown to seal the win with 20 seconds left in the game.

The game's crucial play was setup with a 33 yard pass from Russell Wilson to Jermaine Kearse that got the Seahawks down to the Patriots 5 yard line.  Then a carry by Marshawn Lynch moved the ball to the 1 yard line with less than a minute to play. On 2nd & Goal from the 1 yard line the Seahawks lined up with stacked wide receivers on the right side of the line.  The back receiver ran an inside slant but Brown was able to jump the route and he caught Wilson's pass to effectively end the game.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw four touchdown passes as he went 37/50 passing for 350 yards with two interceptions. Two of the touchdowns came during a fourth quarter comeback as the Patriots erased a 10-point deficit.

Former Texas Tech wide receiver Danny Amendola caught five passes for 48 yards including a fourth quarter touchdown reception from Brady.

With his four touchdown passes, Brady broke Joe Montana's record of 11 Super Bowl touchdown passes, finishing with 13 for his career after Sunday's win.

The game was all-square at 14 at halftime after Russell Wilson threw a bullet to Chris Matthews for an 11 yard touchdown pass with two seconds left in the half.

Seattle received the second-half kickoff and Wilson was able to lead the Seahawks into the red zone. However, the drive stalled at the Patriots 10 yard line and Seattle settled for a 27 yard field goal.

The Seahawks final score of the game came later in the third quarter as Wilson connected with Doug Baldwin on a three yard touchdown pass. The score extended the Seahawks lead to 24-14 with 4:54 left in the third quarter.

The New England Patriots have now won four Super Bowls, after the 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2014 seasons. Bill Belichick has been the head coach for all of the Patriots Super Bowl wins.

Brady was named MVP of Super Bowl XLIX, his third Super Bowl MVP award.
