Newly Hired Texas Tech Baseball Head-Coach Tim Tadlock Talking About His Hire and Where the Programs At [AUDIO]

Texas Tech baseball’s new head coach Tim Tadlock joined the Williams & Hyatt Show Friday after formally being introduced earlier in the day at Rip Griffin Park.
Tadlock becomes the ninth head coach in Red Raider history, replacing Dan Spencer who spent four years as head coach before being let go in May. Tadlock joined the program as associate head coach in the fall of 2011 spending one season under Spencer in 2012.
He is widely regarded as one of the top recruiters in the country, putting together several of the nation’s top classes while at Oklahoma and helping lead the Sooners back to the College World Series in 2010, OU’s first trip to Omaha since 1995.
Tadlock opened up and talked about replacing Spencer and what prepared him the most to be able to step in and take the job.
He spoke about his upcoming, being raised by a single mother, where the program is currently at and how his best coach as a player was one of his little league coaches.
