The Texas Tech Red Raiders were humbled Saturday afternoon by the No. 17 Oklahoma Sooners 41-20 in Lubbock. Landry Jones threw a pair of touchdown passes for the Sooners as they evened up there conference record at 1-1 and improved to 3-1 overall. Texas Tech fell 1-1 in Big 12 play and 4-1 overall.

60,800 were on hand for the game at Jones AT&T Stadium, a record crowd for the Jones, which saw the Sooners win in Lubbock for the first time since the 2003 season. OU Head Coach Bob Stoops is now 3-4 in Lubbock.

Oklahoma started the game with a touchdown drive that ended with a 13 yard TD pass from Landry Jones to Justin Brown for a 7-0 lead. Tech responded with a touchdown drive of their own culminating in a 7 yard TD run by Kenny Williams.

After a OU punt, Tech would take the lead on a Ryan Bustin 35-yard field goal to give Tech a 10-7 lead. Oklahoma would respond back with a 9 play, 66 yard drive with a 1 yard Blake Bell TD run to give Oklahoma the lead for good at 14-10.

Oklahoma would lead 24-13 at halftime and would extend their lead to 38-13 after a touchdown from Bell from a yard out and a interception return for a touchdown would give OU a commanding 38-13 lead.

Seth Doege was 22-36 for 203 yards and 3 interceptions while Michael Brewer was 4-5 for 68 yards in relief in the 4th quarter. Kenny Williams turned an ankle and finished with 7 carries for 24 yards.

Texas Tech will face West Virginia at 2:30 next Saturday in Lubbock.
