Despite the windy conditions in Lubbock, the No. 21 Texas Tech men’s tennis team was able to get its first Big 12 win of the season in a 5-2 triumph over Oklahoma State on Sunday morning at the McLeod Tennis Center.

For the 12th time this season, Tech (14-6/1-1 Big 12) captured the doubles point by winning at No. 1 and No. 2. The 46th-ranked duo of Gonzalo Escobar and Vitor Manzini defeated No. 74 Maniel Bains and Eric West, 8-3, at No.2. OSU (3-9/0-3 Big 12) won at No. 3 as Vladislav Bondarenko and Tomas Patino beat David Gonzalez and Raphael Pfister, 8-6.

The Red Raiders hit the road for two matches – at Texas A&M on Fri., April 8 at 6 p.m. and at Texas on Sun., April 10 at 1 p.m.
