Sometimes it takes a veteran to lead a team out of a slump.

Jordan Barncastle scored 19 points including a three point play in the waning seconds to seal a victory for the No. 21 Texas Tech Lady Raiders over the Texas Lady Longhorns 75-71 in front of 10,000 fans at the United Spirit Arena on Saturday.

The win ended a disastrous five-game losing streak for the Lady Raiders (15-5, 3-5) and keeps them in the middle of pack of the Big 12 Conference standings in a 7th place tie with Texas (13-7, 3-5) near the halfway point in the conference schedule. Texas took a brief lead with 47 seconds left at 71-70 on a pair of free throws then Barncastle would grab an offensive rebound and three point play 23 seconds later would give Tech the win.

Chassidy Fussell scored 19 points and 4 rebounds for Lady Longhorn team who hasn't won consecutive games since December 28th of last year while Texas Tech avoided a sixth consecutive conference loss for the third straight season.
