With back to back American League pennants, the 2010 American League MVP, and the most excitement to ever hit the Texas Rangers organization some might think expectations would naturally be reserved. However, Rangers President and co-owner Nolan Ryan doesn't think that way.

In a Wednesday news conference at Spring Training in Surprise, AZ told reporters his team that is being assembled for the 2012 season is the best he has offered to Ranger fans in his tenure as President. Ryan addressed the addition of Japanese pitching sensation Yu Darvish, the youth of the starting pitching rotation and Hamilton's relapse earlier in the month.

The Rangers signed Darvish to a six-year, $56 million contract after paying his Japanese team $51 million just to have the chance to acquire his services after All-Star CJ Wilson bolted to the Los Angeles Angels for $77 million.
