Northwestern State head football coach Bradley Dale Peveto joined Sportsline Tuesday to discuss the season opener against Texas Tech on Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium.
Steve Dale and Coach Peveto started off the conversation asking about the effects Hurricane Isaac has had on the team and possible travel arrangements. Shortly after the conversation ended Northwestern State announced they’d arrive in Lubbock on Wednesday to avoid any weather related conflicts.
Coach Peveto has a ton of respect for the Texas Tech program as he say’s Jones Stadium is one of the most underrated/hostile stadiums in the nation.
“Texas Tech will be one of the surprise’s in the country this year,” Peveto said. “We just think they’re very very good.”
Peveto also reflects on his time as a player visiting Jones Stadium. People throwing things at the opposing team you say coach? No… Couldn’t have happened…
