fourth time in the last six years. Despite ending Djokovic’s run, things won’t get any easier against Nadal as Federer is 8-16 against his main rival and just 2-6 in Grand Slams. Federer has already fallen to Nadal twice this year, once in the semifinals in Key Biscayne, Fla., and then in Madrid.

The five-time champion Nadal is now just one victory away from equaling Bjorn Borg’s record of six French Open titles. Nadal advanced to the final match by defeating Andy Murray earlier in the day 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 on the Court Philippe Chatrier to improve his record at Roland Garros to 44-1, and on Sunday Nadal will look to beat Federer for the sixth time in eight Grand Slam finals.
