Late Tuesday evening, Lubbock Police announced that Alice Myers had been found in a neighboring South Plains community.

A state regarding the condition of Ms. Myers was released by the Palm Valley Police Department:

Ms. Myers was located in Dawson County near La Mesa (sic) [Lamesa], Texas on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 3:50 pm by a sheriff's deputy.  Ms. Myers was found safe in her vehicle and taken to the Dawson Sheriff's Office.  Our department was contacted and proceeded to notify relatives of her location.  Ms. Myers was released to the custody of a family friend and arrangements are being made for her to return home.
The Palm Valley Police Department wishes to thank the Dawson County Sheriff's Office, the Lubbock Police Department, the Cameron County HIDTA Task Force, Homeland Security, local media outlets, and the general public for their assistance in this case which led to a successful resolution.

A woman out of Palm Valley, Texas, is missing and may be in Lubbock. The Lubbock Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding her.

In a press release from the Palm Valley Police Department, officials claim that 66-year-old Alice Johnson Myers was reported missing on Saturday, May 6th, at 1:30 p.m.

On Monday, May 8th, her car was discovered in the parking lot of the United Supermarket at 50th Street and Avenue Q after a male by the name of “Joe” called Boggus Ford, claiming to be a friend of Ms. Myers. The man gave police the location of the vehicle, claiming she no longer wanted it.

Myers stands at 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 135 pounds, has brown hair, green eyes, and may be driving a 2015, 4-door Chevy Cruz. Her license plate may also have the temporary tag number of 2-9-R-6-3-4-3.

Anyone with information on Myers’ whereabouts, or of the man named "Joe," are urged to call the Palm Valley Police Department at (956) 873-1500.
