The same suspect is believed to have carried out three consecutive armed robberies police are investigating from Saturday night.

The first robbery occurred at 10:17 p.m. at the Valero gas station located in the 5000 block of Spur 327. The suspect entered the store wearing a stocking over his head and armed with a handgun when he began demanding money from the clerk. The clerk obliged and the suspect fled the scene.

Next on the hit list was the Movies 16 located in the 5000 block of 58th St. just three minutes later at 10:20 p.m. The suspect, armed and wearing the same regalia, held up the box office clerk. After receiving money from the register he again fled the scene.

Five minutes later, the third in the trio of robberies took place at the Denny’s restaurant in the 4000 block of Slide Rd. at 10:25 p.m.

The masked suspect again pointed his gun at the clerk, but was unsuccessful in this attempt as the clerk could not open the register. The suspect again successfully fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, standing at 6’0'' tall and weighing 190 lbs. He donned a stocking over his head and a grey hoodie with a neon green shirt over top, blue jeans and red tennis shoes.

The Lubbock Police Department urges anyone with information on this case to call Crime Line at 741-1000.
