With Powerball jackpot fever, everyone is thinking green. Well, there another type of green that will significantly improve your quality of life.

Robin Hawkins with United Supermarkets told us that starting to incorporate greens into your lifestyle will improve your quality of life in ways you will see quickly.

And she said you don't have to eat bales of kale or wads of spinach to reap the benefits.

"I don't care how you get your greens. You can broil them, roast them, grill them, boil, bake or steam them. Even juice 'em if it ensures you are getting your greens," said Hawkins.

In addition to fiber, greens like kale, spinach, leafy green lettuces, avocados, celery, brussle sprouts and broccoli also contain vitamin C, which is so important this time of year to keep immune systems built up.

Vitamin A and Omega 3s are also present, which help with heart, skin and brain health.

The best part is that you can eat a cup of any of these greens (except avocados!) for around 50 calories. But half of an avocado provides half of the fiber you need for an entire day and is rich in Omega 3s and vitamin A.

United's campaign for 2016 is 'Color Your Basket' in conjunction with their ongoing 'Build A Better Basket' focus.
