Oft-injured Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Michael Vick was shaken up Monday night in the team’s 27-17 preseason win over the New England Patriots.

Eagles’ head-coach Andy Reid expects Vick to be ready for the Eagles regular season opener even if he misses Philadelphia’s two remaining exhibition games.

Vick lasted just six plays before exiting the game for X-rays on his ribs, which game back negative.

''I'd probably like to see him play a little bit more, but he's got enough experience,'' Reid said. ''We're not talking about a rookie, so I think he'd be OK.''

If the Eagles want to get Vick more playing time before the season opener, he won’t have much time to get over his sore-ribs as Philadelphia plays Friday Night at the Cleveland Browns.

Vick suffered the injury when he was knocked down by linebacker Jermaine Cunningham after releasing a deep ball in the first quarter.
