Nelson Cruz hit a three-run homer and starting pitcher Yu Darvish three six shutout innings with 11 strikeouts in the Texas Rangers 11-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

The Rangers won their second series against the Angels this season and have either won or split every series this season so far.

Texas broke the game wide open in the fourth inning with a nine-run fourth inning to give the Rangers a 9-0 lead.

Darvish threw six innings, walking two batters and giving up three hits in his six innings of work where he threw 100 pitches. Michael Roth took the loss in his first big league start after giving up five runs.

The Houston Astros improved to 4-2 against the Seattle Mariners on the season in their 10-3 win Wednesday.

Chris Carter, Ronny Cedeno and Brandon Laird all homered for the Astros who are now 7-14 on the season.

Lucas Harrell earned the victory for the Astros after allowing one run in seven innings of work. Joe Saunders took the loss getting shelled for eight runs and 11 hits.

Laird drove in four runs in the victory going three of four at the plate.
